Discover Leksand
Start close to home. Within walking distance of Korstäppan you will find Hildasholm, a historic home surrounded by beautiful gardens. During the summer, you can also stop by Hildas Café.
If you are interested in art and music, Alfvéngården is well worth a visit. Discover the story of Swedish composer and artist Hugo Alfvén and the beautiful setting where he lived and worked.
In central Leksand you will also find art, handicrafts and local shops. And for a different taste of local culture, experiencing a Leksands IF home game at Tegera Arena is something special.
Around Lake Siljan
Continue your journey around Lake Siljan and discover some of Dalarna's best-known sights.
In Rättvik, take a walk along the 628-metre Långbryggan pier. During the summer, you can also experience Lake Siljan from the water aboard the historic steamship Gustaf Wasa.
In Nusnäs outside Mora, you can see how the traditional Dala horse is made, from a simple piece of wood to the colourful hand-painted horses that have become a symbol of Sweden.
Continue to Mora and visit Zorn Museum and Zorngården, where you can discover the life, art and home of Anders and Emma Zorn.
A day trip to Falun & Sundborn
If you have a full day to explore, there is even more to discover a little further away.
Visit Falun Mine and step into a place shaped by more than a thousand years of history. Continue to Dalarna Museum or take a trip to Sundborn and Carl Larsson-gården, the colourful home of artists Carl and Karin Larsson.

A cultural day out can easily be combined with some of Dalarna's beautiful scenery.
At Björkberget in Siljansnäs you will find Naturum Dalarna, with exhibitions about the region's nature and beautiful views across the Lake Siljan area.
